People, technology, products

More than 20 years of experience across code, teams and product development.

About me

Hi, I'm Władek — for more than 20 years I've been bringing together technology, people and products.

During that time, I have built applications, developed digital products and supported technology teams.

I started as a software developer, later becoming a senior developer, team leader and Engineering Manager. I managed teams ranging from a few to more than a dozen people, took part in recruitment, developed technical standards and supported people's growth. At the same time, I was involved in decisions about architecture and the direction of projects.

I currently work at The Software House, where I build and develop software for business projects using AI technologies.

For most of my career, however, I have stayed close to the code. Combining hands-on development with leadership roles has helped me keep a practical view of technology and better understand the problems teams face every day.

Technology is only one part of a product.

During my career I have also worked as a Project Manager and Product Owner, and I ran my own company developing a SaaS project management tool.

That experience means I do not look at technology only through the lens of code. Before we start building something, I am mainly interested in:

  • what problem the product actually solves,
  • who will use it,
  • whether developing it makes business sense,
  • how quickly the most important assumptions can be validated,
  • how complex and expensive it will be to develop and maintain later.

Not every application needs microservices, complex infrastructure and a team of a dozen people. Sometimes the best solution is a well-designed monolith, a simple prototype, or a conscious decision not to build something at all.

What am I working on?

The areas closest to me are backend systems, application architecture, cloud systems and products that use artificial intelligence.

I work mainly with Node.js, TypeScript, PHP, relational databases and AWS services. I have experience building SaaS products, business applications, data-processing systems, integrations with external services and AI-powered solutions.

Recently, I have been particularly interested in the practical use of language models in software development and digital products—not only as a chat feature, but as a tool supporting data analysis, process automation, solution design and the everyday work of teams.

What interests me most is where AI genuinely solves a problem or speeds up work—and where it is simply another layer of technology that does not provide enough value.

What is DuckDebug?

DuckDebug is my professional space at the intersection of technology, products and working with teams.

It is where I write about building applications, using AI, architecture, technology teams and the decisions that appear between a product idea and its implementation.

I also show my own projects and experiments here—including the ones that did not succeed.

DuckDebug is not an agency website or a catalogue of services. It is a place where I show how I think about technology and building products.

Without pretending that every new technology is groundbreaking, every idea will become a startup, or AI will solve every problem.

I am most interested in solutions that make practical sense.
